Why I crave happy…

I am a senior at Emory University where I am pursuing a degree in Psychology and Human Health. I grew up in Nashville, TN with two incredible, loving parents and three older siblings who made me who I am today. I have always had an interest in health; my dad is a doctor, my mom is a nurse, and health and illness have always been a part of our dinner time discussions.

My definition of health has changed drastically over time. Health is not a look, a momentary feeling, or a lack of disease. Health is a lifestyle that begins with nourishment of the body and soul. Health is different for everyone, but with a little love, support, and accurate information, we can all take steps towards healthier lives.

In my free time I enjoy journaling, cooking, exploring restaurants on Buford Highway, and practicing Pilates (Pop Pilates). I “plan” to pursue a Masters in Public Health or Counseling with a focus on holistic well being cross-culturally, but I can’t wait to see how my plan turns out! For now, I am thoroughly experiencing all life has to offer and am striving to enjoy every minute of it.
